What does the check-up look at?

Error values, broken formulas, circular references, manual calculation mode, volatile functions, whole-column references, style and conditional-format bloat, large images, pivot caches, external links, hidden sheets, protection, WPS in-cell images and personal info such as the author, plus an estimate of the slimmed size.

Is my file stored?

No. The check-up is read-only; your upload is deleted as soon as the report is ready.

What do I do with the findings?

Each finding links to the tool that fixes it and takes the same file along, no need to pick it again. Formula errors can be fixed right on this page.

Where do circular references come from?

A depends on B and B on A. Excel either shows 0 or, with iterative calculation on, quietly settles on a number that depends on the iteration count, which is hard to notice.
